Thanks Koshea. I ordered one. I have a Facom one but it behaves funny sometimes. It's probably me but I really like the other Starret punches and couldn't pass up that cheap a deal.

The Big Larry Pro is up in price again but maybe it will be on offer again for black Friday. The headtorch is still reduced.

The AA size is within a few pennies of the same price of the C

I ordered one of each, I have a C already that has always played up, I think it is something that you just get with automatic centre punches sometimes no matter who made them, I also have an A which has always been perfect.

^Thanks, bought 4 sets of those, I use loads of imperial hex keys on old machine tools and for that price will be able to set each machine up with its own set of quality keys.

Prime Tools are in the list of sellers for the weekend 20% off eBay code, although unlike most sellers they have not increased their prices to account for this discount.
e.g. Facom 440JP14 14-piece combination spanner set is £63.88 delivered via ebay versus £82.74 on the Prime Tools site direct (even accounting for their current promotion prices on Facom).

It's a loose connection to the thread, but I believe relevant because if legit, they have some very neat prices...
Has anyone in the UK ever dealt withToolstoredirect.co.uk ? or better still been to the store, @ supposedly
Car Audio & Security,
Unit 6 Bilton Way, Hayes,
Middlesex, UB3 3NF

I've come across a couple of tool sites recently that when you do a lil research, turn out to be too-good-to-be-true scam sites, including ones that (and I think that's what's different now, they are willing to put in the effort and time to create[no-doubt-copy] seriously large websites that become very believable. but one of the reasons I'm weary of this company is the lack of social media.. or more the the stop-dead social media back in 2022 or so..

so the question is has anyone used them? or knows they are Legit/or conversely a scam outfit please share, Thanks

EDIT:-

I figured I should edit this post to state that I placed a sizable order of Wera items with Toolstoredirect (indeed trading as the aforementioned car audio company)
But my order was fulfilled without issue. I had a call after a couple of days stating that one of the Wera cases was actually OOS. And also OOS. at the German distributor, and that it would take over two weeks to come back into stock. I was offered all three solutions, holding the order untill complete, cancelling the case and refunding the difference (which I chose) or sending the bulk order now and the case when it arrived.
Delivery wasn't fast but was as described and I 100% would recommend them and will use them again without question. Thanks.

I don't think I've bought from them, but Car Audio & Security are (or at least were) legit, I've definitely used them.

Looking at the prices, nothing screams "too cheap to be true", comparible to FFX or primetools it all seems normal. Obviously buying online you need to use something with buyer protection, like a credit card or PayPal

yeah I ended up making a list of stuff for just a couple of items I really needed that are good prices, £13 instead of £18-£19 made a near £100 list and then thought why are they cheaper etc..., but their website seems extremely slick to be phoney, but then as I said, I've found a couple of hookey websites reasonably that effectively had Items I wanted when no one else in the UK did, and hadn't for years, so I did a bit more research to find a bunch of negative reviews in the usual places etc... I'm pretty sure I used Car Audio and Security back in the day too, but I'm talking 30 plus years ago rofl, so my mind is a bit hazy .. I just figured there might be some tool 'aficionados' on here that had maybe used them. in the absence of actual negatives, I'll give it a whirl as you say probably use Paypal . it was empty Wera cases I was looking for initially, but making the order up with some wear T-bar Hex and micro hex drivers for RC duty.

I've used google street view to check out companies. Looking at the Bilton Way address shows they're working from a huge building which has a sign on the left hand side saying that the toolstore direct shop was opening soon back in March 2022 so looks very genuine to me. I'd have no hesitation buying from them.

yeah I saw a few posts on Socials suggesting the same, but it was the fact it just 'ended' that put me off, I'll be guinea pig though as I'm finding enough stuff to make free shipping :)

Thanks for the affirmation though, it helps just getting a couple of opinions...different eyes..

20% off almost everything at primetools until Monday 1st May with code MAY20. Excludes some categories apparently.

I didn't spot anything saying what categories, but it seems to include facom, teng, beta hand tools, but not milwauke power tools or batteries

Toolstoredirect.co.UK (EDITED, SLIP OF THE FINGER)
I've amended my post above but in the interests of completeness I've copied my amendment below👇

Channellock GL6 - £6 at Bradfords builders merchants, down from £23. Not sure if this is all Bradfords or just my local one.

I know Bradford's had a lot of tools on a clearance list, as we got a copy from our rep, a couple things were ordered.
They are a brilliant builders merchant.

Very good prices on Nebo lights at Amazon again for Prime users.
£14.39 Big Larry Pro - 500 lumens & rechargeable. £1 more than last time but still very good price.
£10.50 Mycro headtorch - 400 lumens & rechargeable. Cheaper than the last deal price. £17.99 in Screwfix.

I bought the Big Larry Pro last time round and it works great. The battery is actually replaceable by the way. Looks like a regular 18650.

Amazon have an excellent deal on the Bahco S106 socket and spanner set.
£91.95 Bahco S106 Socket & Spanner Set, Metric 1/4" & 1/2" Drive, 106 Pieces

A couple of my mates use Bahco sets and are very happy with them. This set has a range of sockets from 4mm to 34mm and spanners from 7mm to 19mm along with extensions, spark plug socket, bit set and even flex head spanners so very good value for £92. The usual price at places like FFX and Prime Tools is around £150.

Thanks for the link, 4 boxes of gloves on order, excellent value as they appear to be free postage and I had an Amazon voucher as well.
