I don’t know what Bahco quality/warranty is like these days, but it seems like a good deal. :dunno:

they have loads of good deals on their own website too and they're only in the next town to me :)

Halford Pro chest and cabinet - These are always reduced either individually or if bought together but I've not seen them this low, only £300 for both! I have two of the bottom cabinets and they are pretty good, though I've never had a Snap-on or similar to compare it with.

Also Quidco 4% and free delivery (worth having it delivered rather than collecting as they are heavy).

I've been sweating lately as I desperately needed more tool storage space and was thinking of going under for a large snappy box , but once I seen this I ordered 2 as I already had one of these i'll just bolt them altogether and I'll be fine for storage until I have a few £k spare for my dream snappy .

P.s the locks are really pathetic :wtf:

Could have done you a nice Bahco cabinet for a bit more money.

See below.

Hi

2 x top and bottom bases for £600 ain't too bad , apart from the locks.

But now I have 3 bolted together , all matching , only other thing than the locks is , I can't get my 3' bar in .

I am a fan of the Halfords industrial boxes too and think they are excellent value for money.

They were £300 around christmas time and apparantly £270 on Christmas Day.

I currently have 4 bottom chests bolted together, pulled them 3-4 inches out from the wall and have an old kitchen worktop set on top.

Not so keen on the top chests as I don't like all the low drawers.

The 40kg load capacity is a bit optimistic for long term use but I have over 25kg is some of the drawers and so far no problems.

I've shadow foamed a few drawers on my top chests quite neat , but I've had a rethink , I'm gona have a 1/4 drawer 3/8 drawer etc , 1 top chest for ratchets/sockets , 1 for spanners and one for pliers , I know someone who can do cnc shadow foaming for me , but I'll see how far I can go with the camping mats for now .

That small one for £65 is a bargain , I've spent way too much in the past week or I'd have driven up to buy it , it would be good for nut n bolt storage .

I'm trying to convince myself .... usual devil on one shoulder and angel on the other :Help:

Newbie here, just found this site after purchasing the Halfords Industrial cabinets online.

As an FYI it looks like this offer is ending today, plus you can get an additional 3% or 4.5% cash back on Halfords purchases if you register with Quidco.

Probably a bit of a specialist one but if anyone is after some needle files check this out:

£15 inc delivery.

There is only one left as I just bought the other! Bahco files are top quality and these usually cost about £40.

None left now

Had some cheapo files which worked "just"....But for £15 free postage worth a punt

He's listed two more sets - now down to one

Here is another good deal, you can tell that I have been spending quite a bit recently!

I imagine that many of you use gas for welding, I had two cylinders from BOC for argon mix and pure argon (MIG & TIG) which were costing something like £160 a year to rent. I only fill the gas every two years or so so most of the money I spent was just renting the bottles.

I did investigate non-rental cylinders a year ago and decided I would do that when the bottles were empty, which was last week. I was going to go for Albee from Air Liquide but had another Google and found this:

http://www.southwestgassupplies.co.uk/

They do 10 and 20 litre cylinders of argon and argon mix and also do oxygen. I found a local agent who delivered them for free. I paid £60 deposit for the cylinders (20L) and £60 for argon mix and £80 for pure argon (all plus VAT).

And if that wasn't good enough if you contact Southwestern Gas via this thread on the migwelding.co.uk forum you should get a £20 cashback per cylinder!

I have paid BOC nearly £1000 over the last five years!!! This should save me a huge amount.

.......... so more money to spend on tools then!

Unsure if this is a "deal", but if you fancy playing the tool lottery, here's your ticket:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JOBLOT-OF...t=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item3a6e3ee351

You get a random selection of 60 NOS Britool & Gordon sockets, all for £25. It seems they have a further 10 of these lots!

Quote from the ad:
THIS IS A RANDOM SELECTION SO WE DO NOT LIST EACH INDIVIDUAL SOCKET AS IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SPECIFIC SIZES

Sykes Pickavant Hydraulic Puller set if anyone is near. I can't recommend these pullers highly enough.

FYI, it is not labeled correctly so I doubt it will go far.

It's not a bad price compared to new, just a shame it doesn't come with more legs. It also seems to be missing a few things, such as the bearing separator, so be careful.

Yet another reason i need to keep eye on this thread. Bargain!

Wow amazing deal!

I lost my combination pliers a while ago so bought some Knipex VDE with the Jewson's deal.... I found them last week so don't really need another but this is a good deal even without the pliers! Bought two sets. Even the postage is ridiculously cheap!
