Just picked up this nice little tool tote thing from B&Q, £10. All my tools live in an upstairs flat so ideal for taking a few bits that I need for a job down to the car.

http://www.diy.com/departments/bq-420-mm-230mm-tool-bag/257272_BQ.prd?Clearance_Tools

Also a selection of spanners, ratchet spanners, and odd sockets in the clearance sale, picked up a few bits as spares.

Oh, I think this is my first post too. Hello!

Hello... :D

That seems like a nice tote for a tenner.... ;o)

I have to ask.... How much does it **** when you get down to work on your
car and you realise you left an important tool upstairs in your flat.... :willy_nil

It's not that bad, I'm only on the first floor, more of an inconvenience than anything else. But yeah, it makes me long for the day I've got a garage to work in. :)

Not a hot deal, but thought this would be the best place to post this.

Purchased 2 of the blue Halfords industrial bundles for £299 each, but no middle box is available for the non-black versions. Still, a nice change from the black.

I think I'm going to have to purchase the set! At that price I think it would be rude not to. Got a lot of the Halfords advanced tools and very much in love with the quality for the home mechanic!

Reserved a Green set, for pick up next week, I'm not fan of black otherwise I would have got that bundle, but I don't like tall stacks either, so the two on their own is probably about right. They will do I'm sure until I feel the need to buy something really wide.

I must admit if I was buying more of them I would get different colours and then mix the stacks up. Its a shame they don't do a wider version of the same box.

They were going to base producing colored mid sections on the sàles of the black version but being the same producer not a particularly big issue to create them....

I was also told they are now looking into other add-ons to the industrial line up as well

It's a shame for those of us who have the top/bottom section already that the mid section price is slightly out of kilter IMHO. But hey no...I reckon the industrial chest range is great !!! And the price for the 3 piece is awesome....

You could always buy the lot and sell the bits you don't want on eBay, there is a few up already, would probably end up ahead if you were only keeping the middle box.

Well my Halfords Industrial roll cabs and top boxes have arrived. I do like the new blue colour and the more robust packaging. All 4 items are in perfect condition and the build quality is excellent.

Unpacking earlier today:

I'm in the middle of a garage reorganisation, so no tools in them yet. They were an absolute bargain.

Still not go my Halfords boxes, they are being delivered to my local store but no word on their arrival yet.
Yours look lovely in blue.

Mine took 5 days longer to get to the store than the text stated, with one of the boxes having a bonus lap of the UK before joining the other 3. The guys in the local store were very good at sorting out the delivery issues.

My text said Wednesday, I stopped in and they said they weren't there yet but they would call when they were, the display ones in black look good though. The parts counter guy said the green are new and as yet they'd not had any in the store.
Hopefully I won't be waiting too long, cleared a space for them already.

Halfords are now trying to send me 4 more tool boxes. Apparently my first batch were never sent. I've tried telling them that they are already sitting in my garage but computer says no.

Yeah if your not paying extra have them, if you are paying again let the shop keep them, mine are now in also, going to get them in the morning.

Update - Halfords have lost the 4 tool boxes but I am 'not to worry as they are looking for them'.

Computers are wonderful things.

I got my green ones, will do some pics once I have them properly set up, they are a great box for £300. I took the bottom drawer out the cabinet to have a look and the sides are punched out for an extra draw, you could move the deep one to any position if you wanted.
It was a bit of a struggle getting the cabinet out of my van and inside on my own as its 55kg but I managed.

Don't know if anybody uses TBS Aachen for sourcing tools (German website, easy to deal with and good for sourcing Stahlwille or Hazet) but at the moment they have some awesome deals on Stahlwille spanners.

A set of 8 open enders is under €30, and the 8 piece ring spanner set to match is under €50. (including VAT) Given the decent exchange rate at the moment I reckon this is stupidly cheap! I've just bought a spare set of each for when I wear out my current ones!

There is some other stuff as well, just go to their website and look at Stahlwille specials!

Hello Gents,

Long-time, no post. Hoping you might be able to help me out with finding a deal on a Bosch GST 150 CE (barrel-grip) jigsaw, preferably with l-boxx and blades included.

So far the cheapest deal I can find is about £170 shipped -not bad, but every bit helps. Looking to order tomorrow as well as I have a flooring project I need to start.

Cheers,
CanUK
