Halfords have there three tier roll cabs on special 349. And coloured ones at 299. Plus if you use discount code. B17WT01 You get an extra 15% off.

Matt

I have the Trade Card, is it actually any good? I would happily buy some Halfords stuff if the discount and warranty were good. I have heard that you need a reciept to warranty tools, is this true? I have a load of old Halfords tools which all say Made In England on them and look very similar to Britool.001.jpg

You can register your Halfords trade card online now, so you can see the trade prices at home... Which is excellent as it was a PITA to keep trotting down to the store or phoneing up However My card came up as inelligable but a trip to the store revealed that they seem to have some sort of 'check' in that you have to have your card 'verified at the store, then it will add to your halfords account (just sign-up with an email, nothing special) They just entered my number on their system and it worked when I went home :thumbup:

The prices are best on consumables for cars etc, as you wuld expect, and mainly on Halfords branded stuff, but significant discounts on Tools/Tool chests etc as well !! However you don't allways get the bundle deals so it can be cheaper when a particular deal is on to buy retail, as the same codes and discounts etc don't usually apply to trade. For instance the last time they had the bundle deal it was cheaper to buy Trade but another time the bundle was cheaper, but individual Chest prices are significantly cheaper trade. you have to pick and choose. the last time the 15% deal came on workshop it was cheaper to buy retail with a bundle, and yet the weekend before it was cheaper to buy trade, But allways worthwhile double checking the trade prices :)

Yeah...that's it..you need to take your card in and say it said your card was invalid or whatever the error said....they punch the number in to verify it then it will work :)

Bizarre that to use it online you need to verify it in store but hey ho lol

I love my halfords roll cabs. Best on the market for the price if you ask me. Going to collect my third tomz as I am a bit of a tool hoarder. Cheers for the heads up on trade card as I have one but mega useful to be able to use it on line

It is indeed.but be aware although you can mix and match, I. E. Choose whether you buy at trade or retail I found the website refused to show some of the retail bundle deals once logged in....it was Infuriating. .but if you get retail items in first then log in to see trade it allows both....hard to explain but hopefully you'll get what I mean...makes no difference to your actual order.. and I thoroughly agree ref halfords industrial range..great vfm when on offer

I get what you mean.

Well collect my rolls cabs yesterday. Manager wasn't very helpful and would help me load them into my car. On getting Home. I find middle can very badly bent :-(. But returned this morning and got a replacement.

This is quite ridiculous, these tool chests as great value and sturdy as they are, seem to come in damaged with uncanny regularity :lol_hitti

I bought 4 this last time as I said top and bottom orange and two mid sections, the top orange and one of the mid sections had to be returned :(
My previous 2 x Top and Bottom sets were perfect but I've read numerous issues. They do actually seem quite well packed to me , but obviously not well enough, however I suspect its the manual handling that's causing the issues from people not being able to lift and carry what they thought they could, as they are very substantial.but whatever it's crazy the number of returns..
:shocking:

Looks like they are discontinued so you scored the last remaining stocks I guess..I've been very impressed with some of the cocraft range....tbh...I bought a selection of their adjustable spanners with the rubberised handles as my adjustable wrench of choice (Bacho)were dissapearing at an alarming rate over the years ....the cocraft allwaYs seem to mimic a decent brand in each thing they produce...and those pass-throughs look good too...

I was gutted when class olsen moved out of our shopping centre. , it was great knowing you could get virtually anything of a decent quality slap bang in the mile of the city

Just picked up this Sealey 3/4" Drive Socket set and to be fair I am impressed. I know Sealey are meant to be c**p but.......

The ratchet itself is not Snap-On quality obviously but the sockets are not bad. I got this for £97 which I think is a lot of tool for the buck. I have seen a few places selling them for £239.95. Not a bad buy I think, time will tell what the quality is like.

I just bought some 474 Vauxhall paint. Only a Pint for spraying a bonnet and it came to £20. I saved £2.90 with the trade card. It might not be much but it all adds up. I also asked them about the online trade card thing which they sorted out. The Manager also now tells me that they will now replace any Halford Avanced (it might be professional) tools without a reciept as everyone was moaning about it, quite rightly too I might add. I might actually buy some of their tools now. Decent enough quality and I can buy nearly a whole set for the price of a 22mm Snap-On Flank Drive Plus Combination. Okay the quality is no-where near Snap-On but the price is very tempting.

I actually have an email saved from halfords saying I dont need a reciept.
My dad got me a set of professional ratcheting spanners for christmas. The cocked up and 2 were missing so replaced them with ones off the shelf, no one but me noticed that theyd put flex heads in. I emailed saying I was happy to keep them but the reciept wouldnt work for warranty. The replied saying dont worry I dont need one

I do love halfords 1/4" 'through-handle' screwdriver handle extension . And it's very reasonably priced too, I bought 2-3 extra handles so I had them for use with multiple 1/4" drive socket sets including screwdriver bits with the also reasonably priced 1/4"-to-hex bit adapter.!

Hoipefully these pics are alittle more palattable :) some great bargains from the ebay seller mentioned a couple of pages back.

Awsome "Jorgensen" ISD3 Quick Clamps, I picked up 4off 6" Clamps and 2off 36" flavour, Very reasonable prices as noted Earlier in the thread some great items from this guy , but pass on the Speed brace ;)

This is an odd one in that the Lock-Unlock symbols are back to front?? Odd and potentially a nod to a fake Item?? but I am convinced these are 'Kosher' in that they are great quality, well labled and even came in the original cardboard box which whilst not irrefutable isn't the usual MO for a dosgy copy ;) anyway I shouldn't suggest anything untoward as I'm certain there isn't, but check out that ebay post because he has some cracking prices and seems a really nice chap to boot, awesome prices on these clamps in particular.

German Made Vogel Joiners Squares INOX in 500,400, &200mm flavours

£47.25! normally £82.32!

I know this seems expensive for a hammer but these are ****** good. You don't realise how good until you use one. I battered f*** out of this today 30 mins after buying it and it really holds up well. I dont know about the orange but it was the first one I happened to pick up.

Thanks to whomever posted the link to the eBay shop a couple pages back I got a hold of 3 Jorgensen clamps, two 36" versions and one 6"! All for the cheap price of £26 and they arrived the next day! These have an incredible clamping force and I will be keeping an eye on this shop incase anything else interesting pops up! Also tempted by some of the torx drivers he has!

Yeah that was me...we'll the followup about the clamps was me :) they are fantastic quality arn't they. ...I had just bought a full set of Irwin XP clamps but to be honest I should have just doubled up on these as they are soo much cheaper and close to the same strength I would expect...ho is other items are great also. ..if it wasn't that I want to collect Wera and pbswiss I would have them for sure as I know the quality is there...

I bought a couple Irwin clamps a while ago as they were cheap in screwfix but they were still dearer and not as good as these ones! The Irwin ones **** still good, these are just very impressive!
I have managed to steer clear of his other stuff thus far thankfully! No space just yet!

Unfortunately he doesn't have any clamps left but eBay name is qualcleartools14
