Now reduced to £19.43: Expert by Facom E194944 2 Piece Pliers Set – Slip-Joint & Locking-Grip - over £80 @ Prime Tools

How does stuff end up cheap on amazon? They sell so much stuff that pricing is done by computers. It looks like descriptions and images are also done by computers and you find some cracking errors like these 6mm hex screwdriver bits from Facom!
Ill stick with my 80s plyers and cutters feom facom. Nice find tho.

Black and Decker Workmate WM536 £40

Black & Decker 626 Professional Workmate £67

No stock for delivery but do look to be available in a few stores. I tried a few postcodes. Not 100% these are good deals as there are many different workmate models but these are cheaper than current ebay prices.

Facom 1/2-inch Fixed Ratchet Click Torque Wrench, this looks quite a good deal at £109.90 which is nearly half price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008FC0JNS/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Tempting. I've needed/wanted a torque wrench for ages. Delivery is an extra £20 though and it comes from Germany from a seller with interesting feedback. I've attempted to buy from German websites before like TBS Aachen and found that the originally good looking prices are not so great when UK VAT is applied. Not sure if the same thing happened to the guy in the feedback. May be worth the extra £8 to buy direct from Amazon. :dunno:

^^ Example here. To be honest not enough difference to bother about now I look at it. Must have been the postage that got me with TBS Aachen. There is more tax to pay but only 1% I think.

Vat charged if purchased in Germany.

Couple of Trade card deals from Halfords this weekend. I have a B&D mouse and it works ok. No idea if the spanners are any good.

Totally off this thread's topic, and happy to delete the post if anyone objects, but posting here as I *think* it's the only UK-specific space on the forum...

My children's small (roughly 50 students I think) primary school is crowdfunding to raise money to build a Formula Goblin electric race car. This will form part of their design and technology curriculum, as well as an after-school club, and will be amazing hands-on experience with tools and engineering.

Anyhow, absolutely zero pressure, but if you think this is a great project, and a have a spare couple of quid, I know the school, children, and their parents (myself included of course) would be very grateful for the contribution.

Again, if anyone objects to me posting the above, please let me know and I'll delete it.

thanks,
Mike

BIG BARGAIN!
eBay have a 15% code (PLATINUM) which only works for a few sellers. The Tool Academy (aka hardwick1982) have some 10% offers which become bargains when you get an extra 15% off:

£61.20 Facom 440.JP14 14 spanners from 7-24mm in a clip case. My favourite spanners and well regarded here. £82 from Primetools and £75 on amazon.

£16.64 Wera 932/6 6 chiseldriver screwdrivers. Excellent for beating on. NOTE: You need to get order up above £25 to use code

£29.07 Facom 75.J9PB 9 angled socket wrenches 8-19mm. Mine have come in handy on a couple of occasions.

£37.82 Sealey AK6311 7 extra long double ended ring spanner set 8-24mm. I find these very handy especially for belts.

There's lots of other items but these stood out to me.

these are listed on the amazon US site, although supposedly sourced off the UK store. dont know if they will show up for the same price, just with reasonable shipping over there.

click on the image to be taken to that page on the US store.

good luck, sorry if it doesn't work out for you. hope you don't mind them not strictly being tools, either.

I've been watching Wurth torque wrenches on Ebay for a while and checked advanced search for sold prices. New 3/8" and 1/2" are often selling for £50-60. Looks to be a cheap way of getting a Norbar. Please be aware that I don't know anything about torque wrenches or if buying a grey market one is a good idea. :dunno:

They appear on ebay in waves so may not always be available but there is usually some.
