Some NWS tin snips left in the dregs of the Homebase clearance. Anyone know if they are any good compared to aviator snips?

Starrett C636-1000 Spring Tempered Steel Rule With Millimetre And Inch Graduations, 1000mm Length, 32mm Width, 1.2mm Thickness
They stopped the sale.
Mine arrived today, very flexible - ok for £6 but not much more!
Is it not actually Starrett? Mine (arriving tomorrow apparently) will be going back if not.
Website says USA Made.Mine arrived yesterday and is stamped Starrett but does not say where it is manufactured.
I have a number of Vogel rulers made in Germany and the Starrett I feel is more rigid.
Certainly worth the £6 in my opinion

For anyone who doesn't know about these spanners, they are made in Taiwan and they are short compared to some other brands. Pic next to a Halfords spanner.

Its hard to beat Halfords for value for wrenches, extensions, sockets, any i have i am really happy with. I think Gearwrench/Apex make a lot of their stuff, its does look identical on some lines at least.

Spotted this Halfords pro set at a autojumble a while back.

I've read a few times that popular opinion is that the older 'Professional' branded tools were better quality than the newer 'Advanced' tools and maybe there was a switch to another manufacturer. The spanners look identical (from pics). Does anyone agree that the older tools were better? Worth buying used Pro over new Advanced? Not wanting anything currently, just interested.

Not sure if this is the normal price as price history is not available at the moment. Also it's from a 3rd party seller. Price is £30 on ebay, ffx etc.
