Hello - in 2001 we had our kitchen and attached pantry redone with new everything. At that time they installed mini t-8 fluorescent lights as under-cabinet lighting. The cabinet lights in each room individual rooms are hard wired to a switch across the room.
The fixtures go thru bulbs pretty quickly so I want to convert to LED's. I want to put in LED "tape" lighting but am having trouble finding a transformer. I want a hard-wired transformer not a plug-in transformer but can't seem to find one.
I just found this on Amazon but the ONLY reference I can find to this MFG is Amazon itself or a bunch of defunct blog entries. That's a bit scary . . .

It indicates that it's UL listed - would you install this in your kitchen?
The cabinets are to the ceiling, so I can't hide an outlet and plug in transformer above the cabinet and I don't want them IN the cabinet.
I might have to trace the 120V wiring and see if I can tap into it in the attic. But then is it a good idea to have a transformer in the attic?
Cheers
