Slow day at work today and too hot/humid to think about doing anything outside. I built a little cart to store things under the basement stairway, off the floor and easily accessible. My next surgery will be a knee replacement and I'm told crawling around on your knees is not very pleasant after this procedure. I use the word "built" loosely....more like assembling the cart from $60 of parts sitting around the warehouse.
Things went quickly with one little problem that I should have foreseen. The short chrome posts I used to frame the cart were cutoffs from previous jobs and the sharp lips on the inside of the chrome tubes tore up the stem bushings used for attach the casters. I had to steal 2 grommets from another caster set to finish the job.
It seems my calendar these reads like a hypochondriac's diary.....full of doctor visits. Plus a trip to the NJ Motor Vehicles Commission (formerly DMV) to add to the "fun". Nice distraction at the end of the week to take my mind off things.
