Does a urinal have to go in the septic or dirty water? I have a hook up for the sink there and was just thinking of plumbing a urinal there... Thanks. Also maybe some pics of Urinals/bathrooms if you have em in the garage. Thanks guys..

thats what I was thinking just not sure if the waste has to go to the septic line or the dirty water line since there was no "2's" going down.

If your sink hook up was installed by a plumber your sink drain should be connected to the septic.

Don't know what you mean by "septic" or "dirty water". The waste water all goes to the same place - septic field or municipal waste. Some buildings have "gray water" systems but those are usage of non-potable water for non-potable uses (i.e., flushing toilets) but in that case it would still go out the sanitary.

The urinal hooks up quite easily, at least mine did.

I "plumbed" a funnel to some ABS pipe through a hole in the wall. It drains onto the nasty neighbors' fruit trees:bounce:

So that is what is causing their trees to die at that location...you are pure eeeviiil.....:lol_hitti

If need be a 5 gal bucket with arm and hammer cat litter works great also. I know guys that keep it in their truck for emergencies. it cant spill and if it does it vacuums up.

I have a good friend who is a local sign painter/pinstriper that had a similar setup at his old place. But after applying his trade, the area around the funnel was painted to look like a urinal!

a friend of mine...has a tube running outside into the ground 4-6ft
the "piss hole" is a cut in half quart of oil bottle ....works like a funnel...
he uses the other side as a lid to close it off.......over 20yrs and still works great

great suggestions - another one...steal some diapers...makes disposal quick and easy...finally, if all else fails, hit the pot you drain your oil into...can't make it anymore toxic than it already is (well for most of us anyway!!) :)

There are allowances around here to do drain systems that are non-tanked and non-septic. Think kitchen drain. I wonder if a urinal would be allowed as it doesn't deal with solids?

Talk about a blast from tbr past!
FWIW, I'm not still peeing on my neighbours trees. We moved to an acreage with an attached garage and there's a terlet just inside. Plus as I've gotten much older I don't pee as much - or as easily - as I used to.
Carry on.

How are the trees doing? Did they die yet?

I have noticed that with my advanced age I seem to be peeing more frequently than I did when I was not yet a Senior.
