Can anyone shed some light on belt tightness.? I have it at 1/2" slack in middle.

But, when it's running the bottom run of the belt between the pullies is vibing up and down a good 1"-2"

Is this normal.?

No stores within a 100 mile radius have this item, nor can they order it. They said it is a closeout item. That *****. I'm now going to call HF direct and see if I can get one dropped shipped to the store to avoid the shipping cost.

If it works out, I'll update and let you guys know.

Update: In store only item, it is also a refurbished unit of item# 93274.

Good luck...It is a refurbed 93274, but obviously a hell of a deal. IT is not something I would try to use commercially, but I am very happy with what I bought for the money I paid for it.

No doubt, in fact if you have to warranty it they will give you 93274.

i have not been to any hf store ever let alone know where they are in minneapolis.

thats still one hell of a deal. way better then the cummins tool sales they hold in mound twice a year.

about this time of year they host a tool sale at the American legion in mound. they usually put out a sale flyer in the mail a week before they host the sale.

80% of it is rebranded hf stuff but they do have alot of refurbished dewalt and ridgid tools, i saw some sk tools one year too.

the only thing i look forward to is the 5 piece vaughn ball pein hammer set for $20

I just called the closest HF and the asst. mgr said they wouldn't allow the refurb price on the new units they have in stock. Not surprising, esp since the stock #'s are different. Oh well, it was worth a try.
