us general series 2 vs series 1 flex?

looking at buying my first box I saw a video of a guy modding his series 1 44inch box because when he filled it there was a lot of flex in the frame he actually put angle iron in the bottom of the box to fix the issue do the new boxes still have the same issue

ahh good to know I went and looked at the series 2 the other day and it looked like they strengthened the bottom from what i remember but i didn't take out the drawers

I have my series 1 packed full. Some 2 1/2" drive sockets, many 1 1/2" drive sockets, and all the small stuff. Big wrenches, rigging equipment etc. No notable flex in the box. If I were to buy the box today, because I've had it five years, I'd buy the series 2 56" with some cabinets on both sides. That's the plan after the shop is built.

i wasnt that big a fan of the 56" but really liked the 72" just couldnt justify spending the extra 600 on it im just starting out so the 44 is more than enough for me and will probably add a top box later

be sure research current model part numbers as they are made by 2 different manufacturers in china and features vary between them with one being most peoples prefered spec/quality .

drawer layout is important and indeed features and build of rs pro is step up .
Keep an eye out for promotions on those from napa or homak as seen them at about 1K last year .

I have a series 1 wrinkle finish box that is used as a base for my lathe and hold the tooling.
I’m fairly sure I have it maxed and likly overloaded and it is holding just fine

My brother has a series 1 flex and I have a series 2. Not very much difference in quality.
