now they've really f-ing done it :tantrum2:

I don't plan on getting rid of this friction slide waterloo 44" crapsman with a old sears craftsman labeled top box I got for a $100 and change a few years back, but harbor freight has to come out with a blue 44 to try and ruin me

stop trying to separate me from my wallet :Help:

Sure wish they had an upper box for the 72 incher.

You and me both, podnah.

I’m running out of space in my lower cart, and I really don’t want mismatched pieces

Need to pick up a side locker and a side drawer set too.

Dang it!!! I just bought a 26" in red. I would have gone with black if it had been available. Still, darn nice box.

Think carefully on black toolboxes. They **** the light right out of your drawers. I'm considering painting mine white, even if just the inside. It's hard for me to see what I'm loonies for.

They should do limited edition runs. Like a batch that are painted white, grey, or green.

Would of been best have 3 colors for all 3 size boxes, at worst black and red for 72" would of been better than just red .
Would of liked them moved on from the plastic finger latch to proper pull latching or decent detent system with adjustable and replaceable detents .
Bit of a half & hardly effort from hf on series 2 56" and 72" boxes which will cost them sales with so many other better spec and warranty options from masterforce, rs pro and international .

Well thank you for making me feel much better. These old eyes are holding up about as well as any other part of my body and for that I'm grateful but they do need light to function. Lots and lots of light. I have this strange new affinity for my red tool boxes.

Will they carry multiple colors in stock or will this be a order at the store type thing? I've never seen the new ones in any other color than red at my local HF.

The blue 44" box has my attention. Might be enough to have me get rid of the 34" snap-on roller...

Good question, been waiting on the 56 top and bottom in black, I will probably add the side lockers as well. Was hoping for 24" series 2. Did they change anything but the sticker?

I wish they had an upper box configured like the tool cart.....Can you just leave the wheels and lower part off and use it as a top box?

I one to my local store in Austin and asked about the 44" in blue, they said 72 are on the way. I don't know if that was 72 to my store, or 72 from China...

When was the 44" $299.99? That's a lot cheaper than they are currently.

I am planning on purchasing a blue 44” box tomorrow. I will let everyone know my thoughts on it after I get it.

They weren't, really. There was a situation where the old (I mean before the glossy paint, the old wrinkle finish) 44" bottom chest would go on sale for 349.99 with coupon and a 20% stacked on top of that price would be about $292. Or for some people's math it came out to about $270. This was very situational, you had to have the exact combination of two coupons their system would accept. They have since added a lot more words to the coupons than they used to have to prevent this.

They've excluded tool storage from their ubiquitous 20% off coupons for many years now. ~$349 is as cheap as I've seen them since I've been on the GJ

Once the new boxes and colors are all in stock (and on sale), I might have to consider a re-boot. Both of my red 44's are the old wrinkle finish, but the top box and side box add-on are gloss red. I could have a big sale on craigslist, and re-tool with tool boxes that all actually match.

Id buy a grey one, I like the industrial look.

I might buy the blue one though, not a fan of red.

That's true. Although I don't remember the exact timeline it seems to be consistent with what you're saying. It's also possible what I'm remembering worked out with the $339.99 coupon instead.

Website now says your choice of color, red, black or blue on the 44” cabinet. Glad I waited, I’ll be grabbing a blue one when I get the chance. Haven’t seen the 44” in blue yet if someone could post a picture that would be great.

I'm going to replace my 18" deep 44" with the new deeper bottom. Keeping the smaller top and side cabinets. I guess I have to stick to red.

My local store has the 56 top and bottom in black now. I guess I no longer have any excuse not to buy one ;) At least on display, I didn't check if they actually have any in the back.

Finally. I was hoping this would happen when I first saw the rollcarts in blue.

Time to upgrade from Grand Dad's box I've been using for the past year or so since I sold my 44"
