At work we have a shared coolant pressure tester. It is a cheapo from the auto parts store. It works fine, but..... when I go to release the pressure, I normally get a fountain of coolant from the cap/sealing area. It doesn't do this with pressurized overflow tanks (fords, chevy pickups) just with standard radiators with the pressure cap on the radiator or upper hose.
Is there a trick to these testers? Maybe drain some coolant from the radiator to do the test? Is there a better tool for this? I hate getting a big pile of coolant on the floor when I do a pressure test.
Thanks
