On my Android phone I can select text by long-pressing a word until the text selection mode is activated. I can then either use the cursor handles to move/modify the selection, or choose "Select All" from the pop-up box. YMMV.

We need a dislike button to flame the hecklers and trolls and award negative points. After so many points, posting privileges get suspended for some period of time.
Half I’m not the only one. They make the site very hard to read and follow.
BumpCan you add page control to the top of the page on mobile view instead of just the bottom? Kind of a pain sometimes to have to scroll to the bottom to change.

I was trying to edit my signature box with correct Instagram link. Had a notification, only two links in your signature is allowed. Is this a new thing or am I doing something wrong? I use to have three links, my garage thread, Youtube and Instagram. Not a big deal, just want to know if I'm messing something up

I get that message occasionally when trying to log in, if I have two instances of the splash screen loaded.
X out of one of them then good to go.
Not sure if the bold quote is part of the message.

I logged out, cleared cookies and logged back in. It appears to be resolved now.

I can not figure out how to disable avatars and this post shows up when searching for it.
I there a way to disable avatars in general like you can do with signatures?

I know using Android using either the Chrome browser or Firefox browser a lot of times when I hit the notification button, I get a security error.
Sometimes I get it just when I hit like.
Also the font was too too small I had to start using Firefox instead of chrome and I was able to increase the size of my font in settings it's easier to read for me now. Before, it was too light and too small.
If you're having that issue you may want to try using Firefox and increase the font size in your settings.......you're Firefox settings that is.

there's an edit tab in your profile page that you can edit your avatar .

I want to disable the avatars pic or gif from everybody else.

Yes I know what you mean, they don't bother me too too much, just the animated ones used to bother me on my PC because it's not the fastest system in the world and the most memory and resources and all that.
Therefore it would tend to slow my page down a little bit.
Using Microsoft edge on the PC I don't seem to see that issue as much I don't think edge is too hard on resources?

No links in my signature, but I did run into a character limit....Bumb.. Is this a problem for anyone else

Links posted to Home Depot are landing members in random product pages - does GJ do any auto-formatting of these links when posting? I’ve noticed it for Amazon links, not sure if it’s in place for HD links as well…

I get this error all the time. In my case it's related to inserting images via URLs to my SmugMug galleries.
My workaround, which is kind of frustrating, is to save my initial post with no images and then add them back in via multiple edits of the post. It would be nice to have this not happen.

The only thing I could remember about the thread was that it had the word ‘’toys’’ in the title. I entered the word ‘’toy’’ in the search bar and clicked the option to search titles only.
I’m not looking for help finding the thread, just making it known that the search result were not in any noticeable order. I looked at a few threads from the results, thinking maybe they were in order based on either the last or maybe the first post, but they were not.
Maybe this only happens while using the “Search Titles Only” button?

In the last month I find that Amazon links in posts get rerouted through a lot more sites and then either hang or go to the Amazon home page 75% of the time. this is with an Apple ipad or a pc running Firefox. If I manually copy the text of the link, it works fine.

I always sends me to my own Amazon home page.
I also have an issue trying to copy and paste on this site, when I try to adjust the blue highlight to pick what I want to copy, it scrolls the whole page.

Also, l used to be able to copy/paste a picture in to the body of the message, now if l try that, it hangs my browser.
