Just got it yesterday. Super high quality and the suction is amazing! 30 ft hose and nice assortment of attachments. Nice and quiet and easy to mount up. Very happy with it! Made in the USA! 5 year warranty.

You can get them on Amazon. However, I wanted black and bought directly from Vacumaid. $289 for the black and 30ft hose and free shipping.

From what I see here this is pretty much a central vacuum unit with a different marketing name. If you can pipe the outlet through the wall to the outside it would work better because the heat and dust won't be coming back in the garage.

There is no dust. It utilizes a hepa bag. Yes. It is a central vac unit for the garage. Vacumaid has been in business over 50 years making quality products.

It looks like a nice unit. Having the long hose makes it convenient except when you are 30' away from the switch and want to turn it off. I solved that problem with a remote switch/ key fob. Now I just hit the remote to turn the vac on or off, it beats walking across the shop just to hit the switch.

I was looking last month at the vacumaids on amazon too. I might just go ahead and order. Much better than sweeping?

It uses the exhaust to function as a blower.
My central vac exhaust goes outside.
It is mentioned here:

Yes. But the internal hepa bag is not connected to the blower. They are seperate. It's designed to not blow dust out the blower. As long as you have the bag correctly installed, it is impossible to blow dust out of it. Only other way would be if the bag broke.

These seem to have good review, but how strong can the suction possibly be through 120v power and a super long hose?

About 2 to 3 times more than my new Dyson I spent $600 on for the house.

There is a switch/valve at the handle end where you can vent it 3 positions for suction strength. I was using it on low because when testing it medium and high was sucking the rug up in our house 20 plus feet away from the canister.
