John:
Anti-skid additive added to Epoxy-Coat or similar 100 percent solids epoxy will sink and not be useful. If you need a non-skid, apply a urethane topcoat to the floor within 24 hours of coating the Epoxy-Coat. This will be a thin powerful glaze capable of holding the non-skid media at the surface where it is needed.

Use Soft-Skid or Shark's Grip vs. sand/aluminum oxide. These are products that won't cut your feet and still leave the floor cleanable.

Good luck!

Here is a link to Soft-Skid if you need it: http://legacyindustrial.net/cart/soft-skid-antiskid-additive-p-126.html

I am actually going to do a project with a board that will be exposed to the elements. Won't lie! I am going to use sand on the final coat. The paint is to make it look not so ugly. I could careless about the sand showing through.
