I picked up this one a few weeks ago when I was in KC for a business trip. I wish I could have stayed longer. :-\
I looked over most of their selection and with a couple exceptions I couldn't tell why they had been relegated to Vaughn's factory blemish brand. They all had a thick coat of lightly sparkled blue paint that probably covered finishing errors.
This hammer is the Vaughn V5 that retails in the $50 range they
sell for $17.50. There were 4 or 5 left. A couple did show some rather obvious milling errors on the striking face, and others were more rounded at the edges than what I choose.
Anyway, pictures. So far it's only been used to demo a deck and punch nails out of the old lumber. The striking face doesn't show any marring, despite my striking the points of a couple hundred nails. The paint comes off rather easily.
