So did I get an ok deal on this? $10 seems cheap to me, but I don't know anything about this brand. I thought it was cool that you can mount it upright or on it's side though.

you have the short wide jaw version, I have the tall narrow version
they are made by Will Burt Co, Orrville, Ohio

I also have a All Angle vise #2 from Fray Mershon Inc, Glandale, CA

the adjustment screw on the Versa-Vise changes the parallelism of the jaws that why leather workers/wood carvers like them, but you need a screw driver

I prefer the All Angle mounted on a Wilton Power Arm positioner
for welding
and the adjusting knob just keeps the vise from rotating on the pin when you undo the vise

cost? the vises were a gift from my mentor's sister..... the 3 Wilton Power Arms were $40 from the used machinery dealer a long time ago

they aren't Power Arm Juniors either

I seen a Willburt vise like this go for big bucks on ebay a few weeks ago. I visit Willburt in Orrville for business. They do not make vises any longer. They make a lot of products for the miltary now.
I have one of these vises myself. i bought mine at a school chinesse auction brand new for $20. it had a retain value of $50. I am not sure if it was imported but i like it.

Hello Folks
I am new and I just purchased a Colombian Gyro Vise and I was looking for some kind of production date. Does anyone know where it is on a vise?

Thanks

Older post, I realize, but I just tried to buy one last night on ebay. It went for $265, in comparable condition, but I don't want to pay quite that much.

You don't want it anymore? Just let me know...
