..... a former Crescent Tool Co Jamestown, NY factory worker told me that the old timers he spoke to at work years ago said that the first ever Crescent Forging (Tool) Co Jamestown wrenches only had "Jamestown, NY" "Made In USA" stamped ......
Sometimes the old timers would refer to the stamping in the forging die, rather than stamping on the actual item, (wrench in this case).

I have what I would call a first generation 1908 vs later. Both 10” both patent pending but one is a rougher type of steel with hammer marks possibly testing strength of neck The unusual part is the top is flattened off where movable jaw comes out top. While not on 1907 diagram it is on the original 1915 patent. Enjoy top one is older I believe.

Crescent 4” and their pre patent competition K&B and Scholler. First crescent 4” 1915 still had crosscut on worm screw.
