The repair to the motor drive for the skewers came out great as all your work. Now, time to fire up the grill and roast some meat!!!

Lada Niva is really one of the best domestic cars. It is simple, reliable and passable. It is easy to fix. I plan to buy a Lada Niva for Hobbies - fishing, finding treasure. As soon as I find a suitable alternative - be sure to buy. I'm looking for the option a minor accident , buy it as cheaply as possible

True words. The russian auto industry never been very innovative, but The Niva is, together with the Pobeda based M72 they were SUV, before there were many SUVs around in the rest of the world.

What an excellent photo of you, I love how the bounce flash looks like a celestial beam coming down upon you, and the use of the depth of field to bring you out from the background yet still show us what is there. Very nice :)

Some more pictures of my little garage. In the near future will be engaged in repair of a roof. The rain started to leak.

We come to autumn. Beautiful time of the year and at the same time sad that soon it will be cold.

I love this thread, everything a web forum should be about - sharing ideas, improvisations, culture across geographic and political divides. Doing things with not much. Chapeau, Vieux!

I agree - a fantastic thread! It is really neat to read about a friend across the world in Russia enjoying the same sorts of things that we enjoy - all over the world.

We also are in the Fall here with leaves changing colors also!

You hit the nail on the head

indeed- although I very much suspect our very talented forum friend Vieux has never just "hit a nail on the head ". Has he forged a nail from scrap steel prospected from an ex-nuclear facility , then hand made a hammer out of a discarded T-34 throttle control ? I would think at this point , a "yes" would not be out of order. Vieux- I have been lurking for a long tiime , please excuse my familiarity - I feel like I know you well from your posts ! Love what you do in your garage

Thank you all! I am very grateful to you for your kind words, nice to read.
In the next few days I will have to make several projects. To fix the hood hinge on my car. I'm going to do tonight. And to repair the roof on my garage.

Project number one - Repair the hood hinges. The new loop is quite expensive. Before buying a new loop I decided to try to repair the old one. Turned out so.
The loop is broken in a very wrong place, at the axis of rotation. That would remove the remnants of the loop you need to remove the wing.

A bit of welding and cleaning the weld.

Positioning and clearance adjustment.

Good welding repair. That was in a bad place to repair easy.

Yes, you are right place to repair very uncomfortable

You must be far north of the 45th parallel ! Even the parts of Michigan that are north of the 45th don't have that much color yet !

I live much further North than the 45th parallel, about 1,500 km. It's like Montreal in Canada.

You have to see if you can get that bottle out without breaking it! It would make for a great conversation and display piece in your garage

The builders joked with his bottle.

I finished the repair of the roof of my garage. It turned out so

My neighbor also repaired the roof. I helped him.

Another project for the near future. Replace the lighting in the garage. Moreover, I was given a few lights. I checked the lamps and a little repaired. This allowed me to save some money to buy new lamps.

Vieux, your roof should be nice and water tight for the winter now..
Great score on the lights, you can never have enough light in a garage..

Regards
Thank you! I hope this will happen :)

Раз в 10 лет можно...

... it strikes me as a sensible thing to do in a land that has so much snow !
I agree! Thank you!

I always enjoy your photos and projects, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the visit and kind words!

Before winter decided to make the garage ceiling. Insulate and sheathe tree
For the use of the foam thickness of 5 cm and a foam. Along with this I will change the lighting in the garage. Work is moving not so fast as we would like

Do you plan on covering the foam board? That insulation is very flammable and must be covered to prevent fire. I am really impressed with what you are able to accomplish in your garage.
