Hey Guys,

I am looking for a very small snap ring plier to remove the snap ring in the picture. I have a full set of standard sized snap ring pliers by SK but I have never actually seen any snap rings this small before. I contacted the ratchet manufacturer about getting a replacement snap ring but would like to get the correct size snap ring pliers because I may need to do this again in the future.

The snap ring is on the back of the roller ratchet head. The ratchets are for installing/removing hi lok fasteners.

This is the set of snap ring pliers I have but even the smallest SK plier is to big. SK Snap Ring Plier Set 7780 “18-degree cam-lock retaining ring pliers in the following sizes: .038-inch, .047-inch, and .070-inch; 90-degree cam-lock retaining ring pliers in the following sizes: .038-inch, .047-inch, and .070-inch; blow-molded plastic case.”

Thank You!

Hey guys,

Thank you for the information and I always learn something new from this forum. Jreb those pictures next to the ruler helped out a lot, I actually do not own any fine point precision tweezers (yet), Wes I like the Mcmaster pliers but do not see the C.O.O. Additionally, after a quick google search- the proto .023 tip diameter external snap ring pliers look identical to the Mcmaster pliers in the link, I am going to get the Proto because I know it is USA. Thanks!

(As a side note, I called the hi lok ratchet manufacturer again today. They are called ATI airframe tooling and found out Snap On owns this company and it is one of their industrial brands, similar to Williams. Thought that was interesting.)
