I bought a similar one off Amazon and in the first few hours it blew a fuse in the unit. I changed the fuse and no issues since then.
I need to drain mine to see if there is a fuse location on the back or bottom. Didn't see it this morning. The ball valve is on the opposite end of my sump pump, so i need to get a fitting to connect a proper drain hose. Just didn't want to go out in the cold shop to find one. Was your fuse located near where the cord plugd into it? Still kind of concerning that it blows fuses when new.

Yes, by the plug. I was concerned but no issues since then.

Update to my SITUATION. I'm so disappointed I don't know what to do. After waiting years to buy this, i had so many plans for it. Been going back & forth with customer support. Sent pics of dead display, switch, etc. Their response was to send a pic of the internal pcb. I asked them if I should open a new electrical device, waiting for a response. Most supplies give the it will void your warranty if you open the case.

Just opened the fuse above the rocker switch & found this:
VEVOR.jpgI thought the smell was just new burn in, not this.
I sent them the pic with a "where do we go from here"?

Unfortunately Chinese companies like to play these games. Contact your credit card provider.

I was going to take it to the local Radio Shack or Emmett's repair shop, but then I responded that it was unacceptable & I wanted an immediate replacement or refund. I'm tired of this shi**** It seems to be everything you buy, Call me old & grumpy. I'll do the Discover dispute as soon as I see their response that I won't have a replacement by Monday.

The sad thing is that I had the small HF one & used it for at least 3 years. Just thought something bigger & better would work for me. During this process, I overpaid on ebay for a carb for my truck to rebuild. The hour's use that I got from the Vevor was impressive. I think a rinse with acetone or lacquer thinner would have had it ready to rebuild. Apparently, you can't go back to finish up on the second day.

Think you went the right route
I would be more concerned about why it blew the fuse than about the repair. Any problems down the road and they will blame them on the "repair"

I have a 6L Vevor that's been pretty much ****. It has never cleaned all that well, but it did perforate aluminum foil, after a minute or so, when I did that test shortly after purchase. With use, one of the ultrasonic transducers fell off. And one of the power boards failed, with various burned components. There is a youtube video where a guy built his own machine, and one lesson he shared, is that if a transducer falls off, it will damage the board. I'm not sure if that's what happened, but likely.

So, a friend fixed the board and I glued on the transducer back on. It starts up and makes a ton of noise, so it seems to be working, but the cleaning power is low. The heater seems full on also; the thermostat doesn't seem to work, so I keep the heat off, or turn it off after the fluid warms.

At this point, the machine doesn't seem to have enough power to perforate the foil anymore. I bought some new transducers, but haven't gotten around to installing them yet. If that doesn't work, I'll either buy some new boards, or trashcan the whole thing. Buyers beware.

At about 3 am, they sent an offer of $134 to get it repaired locally. Again, I declined. Waiting for a response. Supposedly has a 30 day money back guarantee & a 1 year warranty. Both probably pro-rated since I used it for an hour. Extremely disappointing.

While thinking about it. I don't think the fuse blew, thus the fried fuse holder & cover. I'm not going to pull it out until resolution or I'll be blamed for the damage.
