nice P-dub, If that is a 113.27520 then I also have one. I run it with a 2 HP 220 Dayton with 2 belts. The thing is badass. I also have the same bandsaw that I did the treatment to. Again, sweet saw dude.

mine is a #113.299315, had it for about 3-4 years now, selling it to make space for a cabinet saw. I've gotten a lot of good use out of it though.

I would love to see some more C-man "100"s. Although this isin't my favorite in the fleet I don't come across them very often. The Arbor is a very simple design and the amount of Iron in this saw is pretty incredible. I would love to see some pics if anyone one in their shop.

AdrianBoomer;

I bought this saw at an estate sale last year and let it age while I worked on other things. The brother (who I bought it from) said his brother only used the saw twice right after he bought it in 1964. I am starting to form my wood shop and use all old craftsman power tools in it

Don, That is a real Beaut! Super clean. Thanks for sharing. I just ran mine yesterday and am always pleasantly surprised at how good she runs! The 100 has as much chrome as a 57 chevy:beer:

Those little Craftsman saws are handsome. If I had the space and an excuse I'd find one and restore it; but sadly I have neither.

Blue, BradnCali's is what mine will look like in a month or so, though I'm going to try to keep the turned look as much as possible. Then there's the pedestal, and I need to find the side extensions.

:rocker:I picked up a new/old 100 today. One owner. I would say very well cared for.
Found it on CL. And it runs well. Needs a little cleaning and lubrication. Would Johnson's paste wax be the way to go on the threads?
This is all original unrestored. Included with owners manuals, fence, extra blades and disc sander.
Cheers,
Kip

Nice saw. I guess looking at this thread is going to make me get a 50's or 60's C'man. The old tools just look so cool. Plus, a lot of them work really well too.

I have a 101.02161 badged craftsman but made by atlas according to the previous owner who loved it enough to build that sturdy cart. It's really heavy even the fence is cast iron. If anyone has usage feedback or parts please pm me. ( new to vintage saws) c0948af47ef204e62d53408bc61d12f4.jpg85d8786fe16d29ca1d90ea6f3545220b.jpg

Hello. My name is CKAdams00 and I have a vintage CMan problem. Three of them stacked and waiting for a restore. 113.27610; 113.29920; 113.27520. I picked up two of them with the blade guards. All had original motors, two had table extensions. One had the adjusttable square base and a second had the stranger base (pic soon) with a Powrpanl. I think I'm in $200 for the 3.

I have a CM 100 Series with just about every option available. Three cast wings, the rods with connector, hold down kit, miter gauge, blade guard, pedestal stand, etc. Only thing I know I am missing is the hold-down for the miter.

I also have a 103.20002 that I picked up for the stand. If anyone needs pieces, it looks to be in fairly nice shape. The only two things I know it is missing is the chrome faceguard and the geared rail for the fence. Currently seeing if any co-workers want it, and if not, parts will be getting listed soon.

Made some progress on my 100. Bought two parts saws to get the options I wanted so far. Stripped it down, and got the body done so far. Sand blasted the pedestal and cast wings today... paint coming this week.

I used the Rustoleum hammered gold on a saber saw metal tool case, and it was not a close match for the case. That does not mean it is not a good match for the table saw, but I sure wish someone would post all of the Craftsman colors, and what the best matches are. I'm looking forward to seeing your saw completed.

................ I sure wish someone would post all of the Craftsman colors, and what the best matches are. ........

Here's a list of colors that members have used for the Craftsman Power Bronze Paint (plus my observations from test samples)

Rustolium
Hammered Gold #7210
(Close, but the hammered texture puts it out of the running, IMO)

XO-Rust
Bronze #XOP-32
(Nice, but too dark/deep)

Krylon
Satin Caramel Latte #51250
(Slightly off, but the closest I've found so far)

Dupli-Color
Chrysler BCC0401 Champagne Pearl (PTE)
(replaces DSCC401)
UPC: 026916714930
(too "soft" on the color)

Other members will have their own opinions of course.

JakeMac posted some great info below. I added a link to it into post #2, the "References" post on this thread.

I pick up this nice 10" 101.021620 from 1939 and I have started to rebuild it. I am waiting for the micro adjustment assembly to come but it was totally complete other than that. I love that it has the cast iron wings and front extension. I have the original motor but have a rebuilt 50s 1HP motor that I am going to use.

Just thought I would share.

Paul. I ran it before I cleaned it up and only with the original motor and it cut beautifully. This saw is heavy, I mean it it an iron beast. Of the 5 C-man saws I own, my gut says that this my just be "the One". And the trunnions are mounted to the base just like a real cabinet saw and with the massive iron table, this is very stable. I am going to build a MDF solid base for it. I will update the pics when complete.

I love the Power Bronze era Craftsman tools. With all the chrome, they remind me of the shiny, tail-finned cars from that era. Beautiful!

Awesome saws everyone!! One question, where are you all finding all of these for cheap? I am in the market for a table saw (and everything else lol) and I can't seem to find anything older for a decent price.

It's easier if you are near a metropolitan area and can haunt Craigslist every day. Another source is estate sales--that's usually the cheapest source.

I recently picked up what I believe are arbor wrenches from a craftsman table saw. I have no idea of their age - no markings other than what can be seen in the pic (along with my size notations). As I don't have a table saw, and have no plan to acquire one, these are of no use to me.

They are in mint condition - anyone interested in a trade? Or are these things common as dirt?

Notlob, I don't know anything about arbor wrenches for these tables--your deduction may be right. However, I am interested in the box end. PM sent.

Bluebolt has an arbor wrench for one, maybe you can message him to compare? I've got two saws and have never seen a wrench in person. :dunno:

So I am sure someone has run into this: can't get the handles off. I am in the middle of refirbing 3 of these saws. Tow of them I got the handles off no problem, one, neither will come off. There is no second set screw (internal or external), I assume the setscrew scraped the spindle and it is just hung up. But obviously I can't use a puller. I have applied pressure, PB Blaster, and tried to pull/spin both off with no luck. Can't figure a way to press it off . . . anyone have an idea or solution that worked?
