Don That's the only S-K box I found yesterday searching for tackle boxes using Google. I grew up fishing and certainly never saw ANY tackle box with compartments like those. If S-K sold that as a tackle box I'm thinking somebody in marketing found a new niche to sell a specialty box. But what the heck do I know?

Edit: I also told Lugz I'd never seen a S-K tackle box but I have seen one of those posted here. I just didn't realize that might have been the box he was referring to.

Some of these SK sockets sets you guys are posting these are really cool. I almost completed mine, still missing the extension.

I believe that's the one I have. Pretty sure we talked about it and I posted it before. Can't find it searching thread on 'tackle' or 'general utility' though.
26 gauge steel! Lol! I have a tackle box I bought on the way, its taking forever, but the sheet steel is so flimsy on these and the box I just posted a few comments up. 26 guage is wayyy to thin. They should have atleaset bent a design in the metal to strengthen it. I also have a few Utilico and Union boxes of the same guage steel, same issue.

The specs look odd. 26ga weighs less that a pound per square foot, yet the shipping weight of the boxes are 26 & 35 pounds.

Here's the No. 114. It is 14" x 6" x 6-1/2". You can see from the catalog figure that Don provided that when they stretched the No. 114 into the No. 119 (19" x 6" x 6-1/2"), it looks like they didn't bother stretching the rounded-edge compartments in the cantilevered tray! :) It weighs 4 lbs 4 ozs. The clasps and the center hasp were supplied by Excelsior in Stamford, Conn.

This is GJ - someone with a dead non-rebuild-able ratchet will build another...

I bet several guys have already looked in the deadpool

That's also a candidate for the "modified tools thread"

New GJ member here. Ended up here looking for info on vintage SK stuff. Bought this box today from a local online listing, seems to be in near mint condition and few if any tools seem to be missing. The front cover fits cleverly under the bottom drawer.

Even though I don’t collect Wayne period S-K tools, those are in beautiful condition. Congratulations and welcome to the GJ.
This almost complete (missing the 1/4” socket) early set arrived this evening.

I ordered some nice looking sockets to upgrade my early postwar 1/2” drive deep set.

I replaced the sockets in the lid of the box with the new ones.

I don’t think they got much use.😀
When I spotted this Chrome Alloy beaver tail 3/8“ ratchet offered on a buy it now I didn’t hesitate. The 3/8” drive Chrome Alloy (Brazil) tools are kind of rare in 3/8” drive.

Here it is with some other possible Chrome Alloy 3/8” drive tools. EA52E72E-48C9-4535-B57B-2E0AA554BA13.jpeg
