I recently got this toolbox in Norway:

attachment.php

As you can see it is quite well worn...:)

I want to fix it up a bit, and for this I need the bottom "corners" you see are missing.
Does anyone know if replacements for these are available from somewhere?

Thank you!

It depends. Do you know what the originals look like? I am not familiar with this box. If they are ornate (almost fleur-de-lis like...), like the feet on 1940's military flip-top boxes, I may have a few left, salvaged from ruined boxes that I have picked up just for the tray or the feet. See Pics 1 & 5 in this post from the 'Toolboxes' thread, linked here. And GJ member User name already in use has a source for a decent reproduction item.

Do a search for replacement Trunk Corners.

I can't recall exactly the site that I ordered mine from. But I found them with the 'vintage trunk corner' search as Don suggested. I also have a few left over though shipping may be prohibitive from the U.S. to Norway. There's probably a closer source for them.

By the way, nice find!

They certainly look the same in the 1953 catalog and totally different in the S-K Wayne supplement in 1968
-Don
Edit—It looks like they moved the label to the right side by 1958

That's it. Never had one with set number stamped like that. Looks like it had a hinge handle with a crossbar and maybe missing couple sockets.

I may have the missing wartime 3/8” socket if I didn’t already send it to misterbill.

Here are some likely wartime S-K offset wrenches probably not made by Lectrolite. The offset is much deeper than the newer Lectrolite made offsets.

I think that you might have two, but I could be wrong. I think the one I took a picture of for OTG is the third one I’ve found. I found a rusty 3/8” drive early patent ratchet today that is currently bathing in evaporust.

My sk tool cart in service today. Thinking of taking it home and using it for an end table.

That’s very cool. I’ve never found a 4way in any collectible brand.
I did find three wartime S-K unmarked extensions today and put them with the ratchet I found yesterday after it came out of the evaporust.

Is that a war era ratchet as well? I picked up the same rat this weekend.

Me neither, Don. First one. Guy had three of them: S-K, S-K Wayne, and a no namer. Figured I better grab it. Can't let the P&C guys have all the fun. :)

I'm genuinely surprised! I'm gunna go out on a limb and say it's probably because you're looking at other things. After acquiring more than a half dozen brands of vintage 4-way wrenches (P&C, Plomb, SK, Chrome-X Quality to name a few) I don't give them a second glance - and I STILL end up finding them!

Mac x3r with chrome alloy 4570. I think the chrome alloy is 15 years older
