I bought this beautiful set from a 95 year old Danish gentleman last week. He brought it over from the "old country" in 1964 and believes he bought it 10 - 15 years before that. He was very proud of this set and took great care of it although he did manage to lose the long extension at some point in the last 60 years or so. However, it came with 3 Stahlwille SAE sockets and a couple of Hazet pieces as well.
The ratchet is surprisingly thin.
I have seen exactly 2 Stahlwille sets on CL over the last 8 years or so and for some reason I bought both of them.
Sadly, I mostly work on motorcycles these days so I rarely reach for 1/2 inch gear and when I do, there is usually a torque wrench attached to the socket.
I suppose I should sell one or both of these sets to someone who can use them daily. Its not the easiest brand to price in North America so if anyone has any insight, I would love to hear from you.
The other set covers 8 - 34mm and was brought over by another European with good taste in tools.
