Looks like it says craftsmanWhat does that tag say at the front of the machine? You can see where it has a pulley attached. Likely was driven by an electric motor. Looks similar to some metal shaping machinery but not exactly. Similar to a helve hammer. Likely it does a specific task. What that is? IDK.

Here is my latest find. It looks like everything is in good shape. All the peaces are there as far as I can tell. There is no motor but they sold these units with out it anyway. Honestly I can't even tell if its ever been used. paint is in great condition and besides the surface rust...www.garagejournal.com

Might have better luck on the vintage tool forum.It was one of many older tools my Dad had.
Do not think those are numbers. It reads Pat-app ed-for. "patent applied for "Thanks everyone.. a lot of good suggestions and ideas. I looked again and found these numbers and did a google search but no luck.
