Vintage tools I found

Found a few old tools while digging through my piles. One is a Kraeuter socket, next is a BUHL wrench, then a Barcaloy-Buffalo wrench and finally a BMW metric wrench made in Austria. In info on these? Not sure if the Kraueter is vintage, I've just never heard of that brand.

I just picked up a pair of linesman pliers marked kraueter for a dollar. Never heard the name either but they're usa made.

Kraeuter was from the turn of the century. I have a bunch of their pliers. very good quality.

I have a bunch of Kraeuter sockets and a ratchet, but this wrench is immaculate and my favorite!

The BMW wrench is actually a VW wrench. Probably more valuable to a VW collector. The others are all good names.

Why would BMW tools come with a VW?

I kinda thought the same thing. Porsche I could understand but not BMW.

I picked up a set of Heyco open-ended metrics, one of which is pretty much identical to the rest in the set but is stamped 'BMW' and no Heyco stamping. BMW car or bike toolkit.

I picked up a set of Heyco open-ended metrics, one of which is pretty much identical to the rest in the set but is stamped 'BMW' and no Heyco stamping. BMW car or bike toolkit.

Here are just a few of the tools that BMW included in their tool kit for my 1974 BMW R75/6 motorcycle.
These are the original tools...I bought the bike new in '74.
Only the 2 Heycos have any markings on the flip side - Chrom-Vanadium - other than the wrench size.

That Kraueter socket is from when Dresser Industries owned the brand name in the 1960's and 70's. Dresser also owned S-K so the tools are similar to S-K, the ratchets have S-K guts. Decent tools, I collect them since Kraeuter is so similar to my last name.

Why would BMW tools come with a VW?

I have seen the Walter logo 2 ways. "WALTER" and "VW - WALTER" like this wrench. BMW on the flip side? Maybe Walter started making one wrench for both.

I have 2 BMW marked wrenches, both DOE and both Hazet.
