I really like the looks of that shop vac. I have one that I use in the garage, not a wall mounted one, just a regular shop vac that sits on the floor. It works OK but at times I wish I had one that was more powerful. This coming Spring I will have to see about getting one of those. Thanks for the link and the recommendation.I bought this one a year ago and it has been great.

No pics because we have four inches of snow and I'm not venturing out.

On sale after Christmas for five bucks or so, THIS is the type remote I use on vacuum and on pumps.
The control is placed in a zip lock bag and attached directly to the end of the hose I hold on to for the pump, just rubber banded to the hose on the vacuum.
It allows me to be more general in my search for vacuums and such, being able to place the button at my whim.
I have had this one for a couple of years and it ***** - NOT in a good way. Doesn't have remote control On/Off, hose diameter is too small in my opinion. Overall, just didn't like it so I gave it to my young neighbor. He didn't like it either and put it in the trash.

Glad to hear from GLFlyer that he is happy with his Craftsman wall mount vac^^^. I just recently bought one and will be installing it this weekend.

How do you know it'll be on sale after Christmas?
I like the idea of these. I'm wondering if they'd work to plug my garage/shop fluorescent lights into?
I love my VacuMaid, too. It doubles as a shop vac and a vacuum source for the blast cabinet's Dust Deputy. I just unplug the 50 ft vacuum hose and plug in the Dust Deputy's outlet hose.
Your Prolux (I’ve not heard of this brand before now) is shaped kinda like the Bissell I had no luck with. Does it have an On/Off switch at the end of the hose? I wonder if they’re actually the same vac? Hope it works god for you!
I love these garage vacuum threads with $500 units, yeah real affordable for the average guy.
I guess this is a case of "go be poor somewhere else".....
