Who makes a good wall mounted vacuum? I bought a cheap unit from Lowes two years ago and only work well for maybe 10 times. What do you have?
I bought one made by Craftsman about 10 years ago. I don't know if they still carry the same unit, but if they do I would buy another. I am not a big fan of Craftsman, especially since most of their stuff is cheap chinese **** these days. But, the vacuum has been great.
I am not familiar with that particular model but Emerson electric has made many of their shop vacuums as well as the Rigid ones at Home Depot. They usually hold up quite well for the price.I bought one made by Craftsman about 10 years ago. I don't know if they still carry the same unit, but if they do I would buy another. I recently installed a Vacumaid and like it so far. It ***** well and is much quieter than my old roll around shop vac. Only issue I have is that the canister around the motor gets quite hot. Hope it is not a sign of impending failure. It is only two months old.

Very nice. Any details? Do you remember the brand of hose reel? Looks like an aftermarket exhaust muffler? You have exactly what I want to setup.
I've got this one

good suction, wall mounted to keep off of floor. Must be 10 years old, works fine. The shopvac brand I purchased first, sucked (and not in the way a vacuum should)
its really only 14' the 7' is a collapsible hose so it goes down to about 3-3.5 feet when not being extended. I take mine down to use it, I wish the hose was a little longer so I could leave it in place.
