Not entirely tool related, but our two local stores have had a lot of grilling and kitchen stuff on clearance. I picked up two Weber 22" Premium kettles for $40 each, originally $165. A Lodge cast iron dutch oven for $25, three Lodge CI pans for $4 each, plus a bunch of tongs and grilling accessories at least half off.

The app shows regular prices but they were in a clearance section so I had to scan each one with my phone to show the actual price.

The local walmarts have dropped the 32oz power service WINTER diesel additive to $2.50 (Was sitting at previous clearance price of $5 for quite a while.)

I don't use much in my truck (well, it depends on how cold it gets around here) but figured I would pick up a couple at that price, can sit on the shelf in the garage till next winter.

Just noticed one store near me had it for $2...

If anyone is looking for a 8x6 plastic shed, this one has been fluxuating quite a bit since I started watching a couple weeks ago. I first saw it at $539 and was debating between it and the Rubbermaid 7x7 at home depot for $549. I had pretty much decided on the rubbermaid since it is a little bigger and a lot heavier and then the price dropped to $479 so I bit. The next day it was back up to $599, then $550 and now back to $599.

I think it must be set to drop until they sell one and then go back up and start the cycle over. Anytime now they could just drop it down and be done with it so keep an eye out.

I remember my supercenter had one on display out in the garden area one year. It kept dropping down to $300 on clearance and still sat there for like a month before someone bought it.

Though it was fall/winter time and there were no plants so it's not like any person would go out into the garden area anyhow... lol. I just happened to notice it from outside walking up to the store.

If you're in the market for knives, as I always am, Walmart has clearanced some good ones.

All Fiskars lawn and garden tools, including pruners, axes, saws, shovels, etc. are all clearances at least 25% off at every Walmart I've been to so far.

Yep as fall approaches they are going to clearance out all the L&G stuff to make room for holiday decorations so worth checking whenever you are there...

I've seen a lot of grills and BBQ stuff on clearance lately. The Albany, NY store had several Pit Boss "Whisky Still" pellet smokers for $125 each, several Oklahoma Joe Bronco drum smokers for $100, 36" Blackstone griddles for $184. I really wanted one of the 22" Blackstones for $109 but they couldn't find any, the app showed "limited stock."

I would've bought one of the drum smokers if I wasn't already building one. The store closer to me has a bunch of 22" Blackstones at $147, so I'll keep waiting until they drop theirs to $109 as well, if they do.

Not a tool, but Remington 1187 shotguns are as low as $249. Well, I guess it's kinda a tool...

I saw this post in the am. I checked brickseek and it shows one local Walmart at the other side of town may have one left. I am thinking this is a long shot for sure.

I had some errands to do in the afternoon, and thought I should stop just because I were already running around town. I was very surprised they still have one, brand new in the box :bounce:  Thanks @InDaRed2

Paid the box, drove home because I was driving the sedan, then immediately drove back with the SUV. Now I got to find some space in my crowded garage...

LOL, man showing limited stock at a store near me for $79... Tempting, but I don't have the room!

FYI, back on Tuesday Walmart announced they are no longer going to stock handgun & some rifle ammo (.223/5.56). I went to my store yesterday (Wed), and it was already gone... Not sure if people just went crazy to buy it all or they pulled off the shelf. Price tags were all still there so I'm thinking people just bought like mad.... Didn't seem to be discounted on price any for stuff they were discontinuing, but YMMV...

Plenty of .22LR, other rifle, and shotgun ammo at usual prices. They should continue to stock those as normal...

Also they already pulled all the Halloween stuff! Garden area was last of back-to-school, and usual holiday area is now Thanksgiving / fall stuff!!! I guess in a couple more weeks they will have Christmas out...:(

Limited stock at my local store meant they had three tops and two bottoms. I believe one half of the box actually showed out of stock. If you have a store within reasonable driving distance and you're interested in one of these, swing by because brickseek is not always very accurate(some stores are, some aren't). Some people on SD have reported being able to buy display models for even cheaper.

I stopped by a Walmart yesterday and they had probably 25% of their tool section on clearance. But everything seemed to be only a couple of bucks cheaper, so no crazy good deals, but nice if you were planning on buying something anyway. Hopefully they will drop more.

I really couldn't see any rhyme or reason. The clearance items seemed to be across all brands. I figure they are making space for a new brand (like Hart?).

My wife checked a Wal-Mart today (albeit a smaller one) and they hadn’t marked down any tools at all. Must depend on the store.

You mean you trust your wife to tell you if they did have tools on clearance? :bounce:

I was in Walmart today and talked to the manager over the tool, paint and hardware department. He told me they are only going to carry two brands, Hyper Tough and Hart. Their stock of Stanley is virtually gone.

Who exactly makes the Hart? Is it just another Stanley rebrand? I mean they’ve tried other brands in the past with little success. They’ve had a Stanley a long time now.

Anyway Hyper Tough aka Test Rite Products is junk. I can’t believe they still carry it.

Hart is a TTI brand and Walmart has exclusive rights to sell it right now.

Thanks for the heads up. I strolled the tool aisle today while waiting for the gf/fiancee in a dentist appt

Komelon self-locks are presently my favorite tapes & they are on clearance (they still have the fractional marks which annoys me....but ya know -- WalMart clientele) but it's tolerable.

Lots of other decent stuff on clearance - basically if it's not Hart or H.T. they're getting rid of it.

Grabbed some B&D wire wheels (for use in a drill) 'cause those are consumables and always useful.

Usually there’s a few weeks between first and second markdown then a larger gap before 3rd markdown depending on how much they have to get rid of.
