Good luck with your purchase, I was going to go snappy but bought two Masterforce 72" boxes. The suited my needs and price point. Would be cool to have a snappy, but this worked for me. Seems as though you are on the right track. The other thing to consider is that at some point you have to do things that just make you happy. You want the snappy, get the snappy. Your not going into debt to acquire it.

Off topic; Have you considered putting a coat of opaque stain or paint on your benches and cabinets. I would match the color of your new box when you get it, would really have a nice visual impact. Not trying to derail your post.

No. I haven't. I've been too busy trying to keep the garage uncluttered. I bet that would be nice. I'm not in a huge rush to get a box. I can wait for the right deal to come along. I'm busy refitting a boat right now anyways. Taking up most of my free time. Not to mention I have a two year old daughter and a two week old son.

I love my krl7022. I just added a kr1201 top box. I've done pretty good only $2100 into the pair. I coverted the top box to a barrel lock and im waiting for a black trim set that i have on order. Keep your eyes open for a deal.

Some people buy a cadillac, some buy a mercedes. A yugo well get you from here to there. Some buy a snap on. All hold tools. The people that say buy "other brand" for any reason, don't get to use your box or appreciate your box, so make yourself happy and don't look back. I can't understand people trying to dictate o.p. desires. Explain please?

I talked to my snappy guy today. He didn't have anything used but he had a new krl7023 that he would sell me for 5000 out the door. I don't really have the room for a three bank but it would be nice. He's checking with his guy if they have any 1022 or 7022 he could give me a deal on.

So my snappy guy came back with a fair price for a new 1022 but it was still more than I wanted to spend. All the while I kept my eyes on Craigslist in a 200 mile radius. I almost bought a one year old 7022 but the guy wouldn't deal. I'm glad he didn't because the snappy guy came back with a price I couldn't turn down. I'm now the proud owner of an extreme green krl1022! This thing is huge. It swallowed up all the tools I had scattered in the four other boxes with no problem.

Congratulations. That thing is awesome looking. You'll need to post pics of how you have your drawers organized

There's a reason that KRL1022 boxes are so popular. They hold the junk. You'll love it.

hey BTW what's in the gun case? c'mon don't be stingy, do share.

So I've given myself a budget of around 3000 to spend on a used snap on box. I've for three nicer craftsmans now but they are tips and take up all my counter space. Plus I would like all my tools in one place not spread out over the different boxes. I'm just a home hobby mechanic but I've managed to acquire a pretty respectable set of tools. I watch Craigslist every day for deals on a nice rollcab.

I've narrowed my choice down to about three different models. Krl7022. Krl1022 and classic 96. From the guys that have them, which would you prefer and why? I have room for any if the three in the garage. This will be my "forever" box. I've found a nice classic 96 for 2500 asking price. The 7022 is 3000 and the 1022 is 4000. All with best offer tags. So lets hear the recommendations. The classic would be under budget by a bit and I would have to stretch for the 1022. I also plan in talking to the local snap on dealer to see what he has available and to possibly trade one of my boxes in

And don't tell me to buy a harbor freight box or any other brand. It will be a snap on only. I'm not afraid of hf as I have some of their offerings and a store about 15 minutes from me. Thanks!

It's my zombie killer I built. An 870 12 gauge with an 18.5" barrel and Remington pistol stock combo. It's got an 850 lumen light mounted that has a pressure switch or can be a strobe light.

No sir I am not. This was really too good of a deal to pass up plus it was delivered to my house by the elusive "toolbox truck". Right around 37% of retail.

Congrats on your new 1022. Box looks amazing in Extreme Green. I have the same box in flat black with black trim on my truck now.

As for the question on the 722/7022 difference, it's 5 1/8 in depth. The 722 has 23,251 cubic inches of space and the 7022 has 32,160 cubes.
