Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure NASA is using HF torque wrenches on the Space Shuttle.
FWIW they just tested various torque wrenches in last month's Grasroots Motorsports and found the high-end truck brank one to be the most inaccurate and it had supposedly been just calibrated. The el cheapo special and $100ish C-man unit did the best.
