water resistant sheet rock?

Howdy, this my first post. I still have to fill in my profile.Got a question though.
I have a 3 car attached garage. .
Just getting to the drywall part of the big project and was wondering if anyone has installed water proof sheet rock on at least the bottom half of the walls in their garage?

No such thing as Water-Proof sheetrock, there is water-resistant sheetrock commonly refered to as greenboard. If you need water-proof i would suggest cement fiber board

They also make a drywall that has plastic on one side now, I forget what its called.

If you plan on spraying water around, I would go with the wonderboard type stuff used in showers, but all of them depend on something on the surface as the main barrier to water.

That's what I would do. Use an oil based paint or polyurathane ? paint thin it by 25% so it will soak in to the sheetrock.

If you use type x, it is stronger. To improve the fire resistance, fibers are added to give it strength so it can pass a hose stream test. There is also a high impact resistant drywall available.
