In preparing to finish my basement, I'm trying to get all of the future plumbing and wiring done before the ceiling is closed up. I'm thinking about adding a hose bib to the garage side of the house (Shoulda done that to begin with!). Easy enough- I have a good place to add a 'T' in the PEX, and run the line on out. The problem is that I have to come out into the garage, bury it in the garage wall, then go out the front. All of that area is subject to freezing, so I need a shut-off inside, in the basement ceiling. Long story short- do they make ball valves with a long enough handle (stem?) that it can stick down through the ceiling to be readily available? If so, what are they called?
Note- A frostproof sillcock won't work- I need a shut-off before the line goes out into the garage.
