Awesome. If it were mine, I would consider some kind of simple lockout button/valve/pedal so stuff can't move accidentally (while in the middle of a weld) if you bump into a control lever.
Would you mind sharing where you sourced the components, or any details of what components you used?

Damn fine job OP! I'd be showing that off as well. I hope your talent is appreciated by your company since it's pretty rare anymore to find someone who can think through the process and build something like that.
I'm the same way. I have / had several products that were very specialized low volume stuff. Some welded, fabbed or machined. I got off on creating the most efficient way of making or assembling it. But once I got it down to a science, I completely lose interest in doing the production work. I'll normally make the first run or two of whatever in house, then hand everything over to a job shop so I don't burn out.
I always enjoy making jigs more than I do producing with them.

Designed this table leg welding jig and just finished building it today. It rotates so they can weld both sides and I put jacks on all 4 corners so it won't roll away when they use it.

looks a lot like the welding tables we have for production robots where i work. cool stuff.

I will post up some pictures of the legs that will be welded on this jig... There is no demand for them yet but there will be very soon.
The cylinders on the rotating jig are from PHD... Only picked that brand because I like the local rep and they supply models on their site to make the design go easier (most companies do though)
The rack and pinion unit that rotates it was sourced from McMaster Carr

Here is another one I did... This machine bend, cuts and crimps in 2 cycles.
Just curious, why are you not running two parts at once during the cycle?

Ok, makes sense now. The best part of my job is when I get to build tooling of this nature.
