Bit of advice from you pros....
I have to install a new gauge and top outlet valve on an underground fuel tank. This is set down approx 3 foot below ground with access through a man hole cover. I need to remove two mild steel hex bushes (2" BSP socket) in order to install the gauge and valve.
I could add two 16" 3/4" extensions to my tool collection but I doubt they would ever be used again. Would I be able to get two shorter extensions welded to each end of some box section or would it fail? I imagine the bushes are rusted on pretty well.....
