I've never welded a pressure washer pump, so I'm not sure of some of your particulars. (What type of pump, clearances from the housing to moving parts, etc.) I have however repaired cracks in lawn sprinkler pump housings. So far my best results have been to pre-heat the entire part in an oven (around 300 degrees) then mig weld with stainless wire. After that I like to put the housing back in the oven on warm for a while, then turn the oven off leaving the door closed and the pump inside to finish cooling slowly. One of the keys to welding cast iron is to cool it slowly to prvent cracking.
