It started out all i wanted was a wood top that i could cut on, then assemble boxes etc on with the help of the Parf dogs.
So i bought a set of plans, i think it was $26
But i could not find a place that could cnc wood. Well i found one place but after couple months of run around. I decided to goto my local Laser company who does a lot of metal cutting for me to get them to make me a jig for my router.
While i was there i had them give me a quote on a 3/4" steel plate too. I made the weld table the same as the plans as i think the handles and the bigger slots will work nice for bigger C-clamps. The grid on the jig is the same on the weld table so my plan is to have a mdf slab that will sit on top of the weld table and the holes will match so the Longer parf dogs will keep things square and planted.

Rest is history. The aluminium plate was $200 which the one router place was gunna charge me $190
And the steel plate was $800.
They also did 5 different test holes for the aluminuim bushing and the steel plate to make sure i was happy with how tight the Parf dogs and festool bushing fit.
If i can figure out how to post a video i will
