Same in my area, but maybe as high as 20C. Usually a bit later and it only lasts a few days. Frequently it is after our first frost (less than 100km from my house) they have had hard freeze (< -5C) a couple of nights. We call our warm up INDIAN SUMMER.

"Бабье лето" по-русски ("Babiye leto" in russian) - Womans/Grandmothers summer in English but in the Russian sense of these words, translators called it Indian Summer too. :headscrat

Gold Autumn. I like it. Yes, Indian Summer is the term we use in American English for those warmer days and cooler nights in mid to late autumn, often after a cold snap has come through. The trees are turning gold, red, yellow, purple and things just look great.

Guys, I need your help!
Please tell me about gas stations in your countries, cities. Tell me by what parameters you choose the place where you refuel your car. Maybe there are some loyalty systems or is it important for you to buy coffee at the gas station (from a vending machine or is it really brewed in a Turk?) Or do you need a store or some services? Location is the most important for you?
Do you need a tire inflation machine with a car vacuum cleaner and glass washer fluid?
For example, I get annoyed at the queues at the gas station, I don’t even stop at such gas stations because I wasn’t used to spending more than 5 minutes to gas station.
I just want to help my father to boost sales at his gas station.
If you have photos of your favorite gas stations, it will be just gorgeous!

I get $0.10 discount per gallon of fuel when I spend $100 at the grocery store. So, the grocery store and gas station brands have teamed up to offer this discount. So, I normally shop for food at that store, and get fuel most of the time at that gas station. The two are not located at the same location, and so I have a good opportunity to get fuel wherever I am.

My wife goes for clean floors and restrooms, and snacks and other refreshments. I like those too, but lately I've been choosing stations that have 91 Octane 100% gasoline fuel.

Hello for all!

Today is a day of food ****:lol_hitti

Earlier, I already showed you the pork knuckle that I was cooking. Recently, I once again decided to cook it, but slightly modernized the recipe.
The main difficulty in cooking is to marinate the meat with spices and salt inside. This time I entered simply, stuck a knife in the center and a little cut the meat. I poured some salt into the center and stuffed the whole chili pepper.
It turned out very tasty, tender meat is slightly spicy.

I think Sunday I will have to go to the supermarket and get myself a pre cooked pigs foot.

One of my favourite meals.

I looked at my photos, read your answer and I am ready to visit you for lunch :)

You are welcome.

My life is simple and boring at home, but the pork knuckle will be good.

Good evening Rian, you wrote to me that you know military medicine, so you teach at the University as a lecturer?
What is your status as a lecturer? Professor, graduate student or who?
The more I read your forum thread, the more often I remember my first English teacher (1995-1998 years), whom I hated at school, as well as the English textbook "Happy English". The more I want to come to England and see with my own eyes on this country :)
This is interesting!

I am in simple terms still just a salesman for drugs in Cardiology and Haematology but because I deal with junior nurses, doctors and all medical professionals right through to heads of Department and professors etc, I have to know as much or more than them about my subject so that I can always educate and challenge them.

This week I had a 45 minute discussion with the head of cardio-thoracic surgery on his level and left his office knowing he would change the way he works and manages certain of his patients.

I also learned from him.

Hello for all peoples!

Today I will show you part 2 of building our garage.
IF you forgot part 1 here

When the process of laying blocks of foam concrete was completed, we wanted to punch a water well in the technical room to provide ourselves with water in the garage.

We used a steel pipe, a coupling and a cue ball, which was a thick and heavy steel plate with handles and a hole in the center.

Unfortunately scoring into the ground about 5-6 meters of pipe we buried in an insurmountable obstacle under the ground, perhaps a stone or some other solid material and failed in the struggle for water. Now there is an idea to make a system for collecting rain water in a barrel, then to use for washing the car. :headscrat

On the wall of the technical room you can see the niche in which it was planned to install the lamps. To date, this miracle has not happened :bounce:

In the place where I dug the ground in the last part of my story, there is a staircase to the cellar, which is still not built. For its construction it is necessary to dig a hole with an excavator from the street side and build a cellar, and then bury it.

General view of the pit and the technical room.

To be continued... :)

Should I say “I am sorry”

Seasons come and go.

We need all the seasons.

I have taken today off at work because winter is here this weekend.

I need to work on my driveway on the Blazer.

When my father was growing up his grandmother would make pigs feet. He would wait until she got up and toss everything on his plate to the dog because he hated them so much. :lol_hitti

Stas, does Katya enjoy knowing that she is admired around the world? We need those pics in one spot, so we don’t have to search the whole thread! She is amazing!

Last week I also received a nice gift from Stas.
He is a very nice guy and I really appreciate this gesture of friendship.
He also wrote me a nice letter handwritten in Romanian which is really quite an effort.
Unfortunately, no picture of the lovely Katya, so I must admit I am very envious on Grizz. :lol_hitti

A lot of lovely people here on GJ.

Cheers

That’s really thoughtful of Stas.

I feel very privileged that I have Katya looking out of the house.....

Sitting behind my chair in the office I can just see her back.

But the cutting board is even better, it smells of wood and will be used.

Of course cutting will be on the back ofthe bear.

Stas, I join the other honored members who have received a bear! As soon as I opened the package, I realized I needed a place to display it. Spent some time in the workshop making a little shelf and mounted it on my Wall of Fame. Everything on the wall above the garage workbench is a treasured item from my past and present.

How absolutely brilliant, and encouraging to see, life is good.

Stas is certainly making us all feel honoured.

Bob, I love the stand you made

And the wall of honour.

Stas here is some information on gas stations near me. In my town we have 2 major stations my personal favorite is Casey’s they sell pizza, sandwiches, and other fast food this is a smaller station near me but the help is always super friendly. Next one is kwik Star this is a large one and they sell lots of food inside along with meat for cooking and items like oil for your car.
Both of these stations have tire inflation machines Casey’s is free and kwik Star cost 25 cents about 16 rubles to start the machine according to what I checked this morning.

For fuel I have fuel tanks at my home I keep 500 gal of diesel and about 500 gal of unleaded at home and I just call and have them filled when price is low or I run out and that’s very common in my area.

Hello guys!
I have not written anything for a long time, because I was in South China, looking for suppliers of spare parts for Mazda. Went back on Sunday and still do not have free time to tell you everything and show. I am glad that those who received parcels from me were satisfied, I hope in the future I will do it more often. I hope I will tell you about my trip to Guangzhou city soon.
Respect for all peoples!

Starbucks in the airport Capital city Beijing (Pekin). I have never tried this coffee, because in our city there is no such network of coffee shops. Took a big cappuccino, loved the taste. I was flying from Krasnoyarsk to Guangzhou with a stopover at the airport of Beijing (Pekin).

Air China aircraft....
IMG_20181111_055843

I was amazed by the huge size of the airport in Beijing, compared to the airport in Krasnoyarsk. It's a whole city in the city.
IMG_20181111_055850

Boarding in aircraft to the flight for the Guangzhou. On the plane only chinese people and 5-10 european including me. Amazing feelings! :)

Stas for me price is the only consideration for gasoline other than the amount of alcohol put in the fuel. Less is better as it clogs up the tank if you leave it too long. It's good if air is available. I also keep gas and diesel on the farm and buy in bulk. Some snacks good on travel routes and I would stock some antifreeze and windshield wash fluid; even if wash is available at the pump. A lot depends on the location of his business and what else is available in the area. Out in the country, more is better I would say. Bobby

Looks like a great trip, Stas! You are certainly doing the right things to grow a successful business, rather than continuing to hoe the same garden plot.

I too received a nice gift from Siberia! Thank you so very much.

Very nice small box with a tight fitting lid. I assume it is poplar. It is very popular with me.

attachment.php

I don't yet have a wall of honor in my shed, something I must do, as I have collected a lot of fine items by being on Garage Journal. My wife wanted the box where she could see it, in an old side secretary next to her chair.

The pictures above are her dad, she as a child, and her mom. The flowered cup on the left I bought her at Harrods in London, she cherishes it too much to use it. :headscrat

Thanks, my friend!!
