What are these?

Got these in a lot at an auction recently. They came in a small, red metal box. They are threaded on one end and appear to be some sort of air hammer attachment or something similar.

I would appreciate your help identifying them.

Thanks!

Hard to tell how big they are...any other pics to give a size reference?

If the threads are large enough, they could be "knock off" hub pullers for tapered drive axles. To use one, remove the nut from the axle end, screw the puller on the axle, but don't seat it against the hub. Hit the end of the puller with a large hammer. The impact and inertia of the hub will free it from the taper. At least, that is what the sales pitch said! I never got one to work, and used screw-type hub pullers on my Model A Ford.

Yes, they are knock offs. Used a lot of times on small engines to remove the fly wheel to get to the ignition parts.

hard to judge scale in the pic but if they are big enough I would go with flywheel knock-off tools for small engines as well, though the ones I have are all solid hex.

Not for small engine flywheels...wrong shape...flywheel.ones are tapered at the open end to miss the flywheel so shock goes to crank. These would be like a normal nut and xfer the impact to crank and flywheel. Could be any kind of special nut...not necessarily a tool, but someone obviously hammers on one

Thanks for the feedback so far. I googled "flywheel knockoff tool" and didn't see anything exactly like these. Here are a couple of better pics with a ruler. Four of them are marked 5/8-18 for the threads. The one that has been smashed in appears to be 3/4.

Thanks again. Still curious if they are knockoffs or something else.
