Love my Dremel and use it all the time. It really is a persecution tool for small project that would be a pain other wise. With the right attachments and the flex wand it can get into almost anywhere.
Removing rust in a tight spot.
Cutting square holes in sheet metal.
Polishing.
Faster sharpening than a file.
Sanding/shaping small areas of wood/metal.
Sheet rock cutter.

A Dremel with a bunch-o-bits is a must have. Renforced cutoff wheels, sanding drums, wire wheel, carbide burr are the bits I use most.

Sometimes the air cutoff wheel has a kerf that is too wide, the dremel shines then. Consider the dremel a precision die-grinder. I suggest the long flex wand too.

Best thing ever for sharpening chainsaw blades (unless you just have to have a dedicated sharpener)
