I tried a powerline adapter but it wouldn't connect. We have a Centurylink router in the house. I get a very weak wifi signal in the detached garage. It works well enough to run my phone and amazon echo out there. I'm looking to put in a security camera system. The one's I've been looking at all require a hard line connection to the home network. I've looked at various wifi extenders, network extenders, etc. The more I look the more I'm confused about what I need.
Is it possible to put something like this out there and plug the DVR/NVR into it and it will be connected to the network? I know a lot of you guys on here push the ubiquity stuff so if they make something similar that's fine too.
