I guess I am very fortunate to have the wife I do. The attached garage has ONLY daily drivers parked in it and my lawn & garden equipment, nothing more.
The shop ONLY has tools and equipment in it, NO storage of anything that is not shop related. My wife has respected that for the past 29 years of marriage and I love her more every day for it.
yea my wife is pretty good about not piling up "stuff" in the garage...if she does it gets moved into her wintertime parking spot.. she left stuff there back in the fall, and her car has been outside all winter
that WILL change in early summer when we get rid of her '07 saturn vue. her new car will probably be parked for most, if not all, winter.
the garage is small, 19x22 just about enough room for my tools and my harley. ive got a 40 year "accumulation" of mechanics/fab tools.
all the woodworking type stuff and lumber/material stays in the basement where it gets used most often. her seasonal outdoor stuff is all downstairs, as well as
decorationswe put up a small shed last spring for the NEW riding lawnmower, (the old mower lived outside all the time), yard tools, winter storage for the NEW grill, and space for her gardening tools, and NEW outdoor chair cushions. most of the outdoor furniture is stored in the basement for now, the truly "rustic" stuff is left outside to "age"
