Lived up stairs for 12, maybe 14 yrs. Office, kitchenette, public bath/utility/laundry room downstairs, upstairs bathroom, shower, living quarters. Very convenient.

I have an 18X28 "A" frame storage over garage on an acre of woods. Have it cleaned out and doing insulation and walls over the long weekend. I have an '85 caddy to repower with a tall deck 427 .060 over. should be fun when done

Saved for years by cutting back on non-essentials like...food, dental visits (hey I live in the Ozarks!), the kids birthdays etc and built this last year. I have saved up almost enough now to run electricity to it in a month or so. Its a 24' x 32' with an 8 foot wide covered machine shed and a covered front porch and concrete floor. Eventually it will be fenced off from the lower pasture and I plan on getting an ISO container for storage up there somewhere.

I put it far enough away from the barnyard that I can escape and not be bothered. You have to go through two gates just to get to it and I havent yet fenced in the shop and equipment storage area.

My wife convinced me to put in a couple of windows and I am glad she did.

We have two other garages (one is the wifes) and a large drive in hay mow in the dairy barn but I have never had a dedicated shop where I could leave a project while I worked on it..you know?

Its not much but we are pretty pleased with it and I plan on spending the rest of my days just enjoying working on stuff.

Mines a total mess as I just chucked a load of tools from my trailer into the garage after our summer trip to our holiday home in France and then had to shift a load of stuff around so I could get my new wider ride-on mower in so you can't walk in there. I need to find an hour tomorrow to put stuff away.

I guess mine would be another "L" shaped garage; 20X20 on the short leg and 20X30 on the long leg with a 10X10 work room attached. The short leg is a disorganized storage space for two cars and what I finally moved out of my storage unit. The long leg is the work space for my project cars and bikes. Hope the pics load.

Here is mine. Been here almost 2 years, just a simple 2 car garage. It works great for what I need right now but I could definitely use a bigger garage. I have been thinking about putting folding doors up in front of furnace/water heater just haven't had the time yet.
