Horizontal tanks, I like the look, but practically wise I would say they could be the first ones to rust and blow. The water has a long way to go to find the drain. Can picture a river to the drain and never really dry. Vertical seems to be a better design, a used horizontal tank one would never know how regularly it was drain, maintained.
People run crazy for brand name equipment so they can talk about it. An old whatever brand name is still old and the brand name ani't going to change the fact that it will fail. Cheap new **** just does it quicker, look past the name plate and honestly visualize and check the condition, that thing looks ruff and I just see a picture. The way **** is just hung on it tells you some about the possible or lack of care or service it has had.
Your money spend it wisely is all I am saying.
