What is this joint/technique?

I recall reading about a woodworking technique a while ago that was simple in technique because all cuts were done on the table saw. The blade height and fence position never moved
One piece had a dado cut in it and the other had a tenon that fit into that dado. I think it was intended for a 90 degree joint, like a drawer box, but I’m not certain about that,

Are you familiar with this technique? Does it have a name?
Iirc, it looks something like what I drew below.

Years ago I made a hanging TV cabinet/shelf, I thought I invented a new wood joint, the one you drew, turns out it's been around a long time.

Rabbet and dado joint.

Not a "tenon", as that would be the 'finger' in the middle/center of the one piece (or slightly offset from the middle/center). Make the cut(s) so that the 'finger' is on the 'edge' and you then have a "rabbet".

The "dado" is the 'groove' cut on the other piece.

Yes, I saw this video for the Quarter Quarter Quarter system a few months ago. Interesting to see different names or "techniques" for the same thing.
