I'm sure someone knows.
It's a handle with threads. On the threads are a nut, a lock washer, a spacer, and a flat washer. I don't know if they go with it or not...

The red handle brought that to mine at first for me too, and clearly something is missing, but it doesn't seem quite right.
On closer inspection, my guess would be the handle for a bearing seal driver set.

rlitman, A bearing or seal driver handle would have a flat striking surface not a rounded one.

Also would probably be made of metal....
