It's a handle with threads. On the threads are a nut, a lock washer, a spacer, and a flat washer. I don't know if they go with it or not...

Looks like the handle for a A/C Condensor/Evaportor Fin/Straightener/Comb Cleaner Tool (say that 3 times real fast! )

Looks like a side handle for a drill. Nut and spacer are on to protect the threads.

Or maybe not!

Looks like a handle used with an a/c coil fin straightener. The plastic "comb" piece is missing.

The red handle brought that to mine at first for me too, and clearly something is missing, but it doesn't seem quite right.
On closer inspection, my guess would be the handle for a bearing seal driver set.

rlitman, A bearing or seal driver handle would have a flat striking surface not a rounded one.

Also would probably be made of metal....
