This machine has a cutter that is turned by a hand crank. Still retains sharp edge. I believe whatever is being shaved or cut is fed through the side. It may just shave or cut the end of "whatever" is being shaved or cut because the crank handle would interfere with the feed through unless the material is flexible. Also, looking at how it would mount to a bench, I believe it may be mounted on the end of a bench and the operator would stand in the front. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thank you.

I have more questions than answers.
The part I can answer is in picture 4, at the bottom that looks like a C clamp us just that. Clamp that to a bench or something that will fit in a vice, etc.

Clamp it in a bench and use some paper or something else disposable/light weight and run it through. Show us what the results are.

Steve In SoCal, I thought you nailed it when I started searching for belt/leather skiver. However, the part labeled "Adjustable" in the photo will only adjust horizontally. It sits about 1/16" above the cutter so whatever it is shaving or "skiving" can be not thicker than that. That would be mighty thin for a leather belt.

Thank for your input. You put me on the right track anyway.
